The clay also absorbs interior moisture and slowly releases it in order to maintain optimum humidity levels. The windows and balcony door are triple pane European construction from Zola, with much higher performance characteristics than standard windows and doors. There is a underfloor radiant system from Viega, installed in the living space as well as the garage. The septic system was designed to accommodate a new primary 3 bedroom home along with the 1 bedroom apartment. The building site has been prepped for the main house as well.
